The Magento System Installation is a project proposal surrounding the ‘B1204 Skeletal Type Ericsson Table Model Telephone,’ inviting independent learners and explorers in the Powerhouse Museum to engage in memorable, educational discoveries at their own pace and time. This interactive experience allows users to understand the magneto system and how this particular electrical permitted system for people to communicate with each other – a form of telecommunication – in a past era (1820s to 1930s). Users engage with an abstraction of electrical particles and magnetic audio waves to view a previous ‘reality’ through both a scientific and a social lens. 

A prototype of a particle-audio interaction has been made in response to user-test this proposal.
