This publication design consists of an expert from Task Force called 'Initial Guidance for Evaluating the Use of AI in Scholarship and Creativity', in 2024. These principles can be applied in the design field of visual communication. Raising discussions on the need for AI usage to be a support of the human mind, not the entire outcome. Advocating for the need of intention, asking ourselves, why am I using AI in this part of my work? Leading to the need to be transparent with the use of AI, if used. Paired with the publication’s full use of being printed on tracing paper, I ask myself, and by extension the readers, to question: what does transparency mean in the use of AI? Is it the generation of text? Is it a brainstorming prompt? How far can we tread the line between being supported by the use of AI and being dependent on it?
